The McAfee suite achieved a good balance between convicting malicious attacks and avoiding false positives. While it issued a false-positive request on a legitimate money request through Starling bank, the same “share payment link” feature through Monzo or Revolut was handled correctly.
The product’s strengths lie in quick, clear responses. In our tests the AI-assisted results provided decisive verdicts — minimising ambiguity in language and delivery, which severely reduces the risk of user misinterpretation. This is highlighted in the S rating when dealing with scams specifically.
Overall, the cohesion of the components offers dependable protection, achieving an A rating in a challenging iteration of this test.
